A-I’ve gone to a lot of gyms over the years, and I would wholeheartedly give BEEfit a 10 out of 10 because I appreciate the high expectations Ryan expects from all his clients.  He makes a point of correcting me when he sees me doing an exercise incorrectly.  I appreciate Ryan’s commitment to excellence because frankly I don’t want to hurt myself or do an exercise incorrectly.  When you set high expectations for your students, most try to meet those expectations and that results in achieving fitness goals.

Q-What would you change about BEEfit if you could change anything?  

A-I would like more video demonstrations. I work out early in the morning before the class officially starts, so I don’t always get Ryan’s personal instruction. (As of this edit, all the videos have been updated and Pam’s constructive critique is partly to thank for that).

Q-What is something that you wish you knew before you started training?  

A-Even though I knew nutrition was a vital component of training, I would have appreciated a frank talk about how vital nutrition is to making gains whether it be weight loss or strength training. (As of this edit, Pam has a meal guide and an understanding of nutrition that continues to progress and ALL GROUP TRAINING STUDENTS GET A PERSONALIZED MEAL GUIDE! Nutrition is key to your success).

Q-What has been a physical or mental achievement that BEEfit has helped you achieve? 

A-I’m definitely stronger.  This may be a figment of my imagination, but I feel more mentally sharper.   I have a physically demanding job that keeps me on my toes.  Maintaining my health is crucial for me to do my job well.  As a teacher I feel confident that I can keep up with students in regards to classroom activities. I’m more agile and flexible which helps me in my daily duties.  

Q-What is differentiates BEEfit from other gyms and training systems? 

A-One thing that separates BEEfit from other gyms is Ryan’s expert guidance and commitment to form and excellence.  He wants you to have a good workout while maintaining form. 

Q-What would you tell someone who is considering BEEfit?  

A-I would tell anyone who’s interested that you’ll see results, but it really depends on you and your commitment.  

Q-Would you and do you recommend BEEfit to others?  

A-Yes, I would absolutely 100% recommend BEEfit to anyone who is serious about working out and wants to see results. And I have recommended this gym to my family.

I’ve been training at BEEfit for three months now, since December 9th, 2022.

A-What does BEEfit provide you/How does BEEfit help you with your fitness?

BEEfit provides me with knowledge, resources and tools from a fitness professional about how to reach my goals for my body. Being able to do group training with Ryan’s instruction has been a game-changer. I wouldn’t have even known where to begin without doing some form of personal training to begin.

Q-What is your favorite thing about BEEfit?

A-My favorite thing about BEEFit is how comfortable I feel around everyone and how much everyone supports where you’re at with your fitness journey. I was extremely self-conscious to go to a gym because my body was weak and I had no clue how to even workout. I was afraid of embarrassing myself in front of people, but I haven’t felt like that once since joining BEEfit.

Q-How would you rate BEEfit on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best possible?

A-I would rate BEEfit as a 10 for me personally. It’s one of the best investments I’ve ever made in my life. I can’t imagine any other gym having such a great, small-size & tight-knit group of people in the group training classes. I can’t even picture trying to do personal training at a corporate gym. The feel of working out at BEEfit feels much more exclusive and personal while also feeling like I’m getting my money’s worth and much more.

Q-What is your least favorite thing about BEEfit?

A-There’s not much bad to say about BEEfit. It seriously feels like the perfect gym for me. Ryan runs a tight ship, keeps things clean, cracks jokes, and makes sure we’re all having fun and pushing ourselves with the right form for our individual exercises.

Q-What would you change about BEEfit if you could change anything?

A-I think if you don’t know him (Ryan), it might be difficult to pick up on his sense of humor, but you quickly learn that it’s all lighthearted and it’s nothing personal. I wouldn’t change his HR department though, it’s the best and quickly became a favorite for me. (HR is in house and we are a sole proprietor)

Q-What is something that you wish you knew before you started training?

A-I wish I knew much earlier how much better my body would feel if I actually just took the first step and committed myself to working out. The personal training aspect was the perfect fit for me, and the affordability of the group sessions was a no-brainer. It took me 32 years to have the courage to enter a gym. Now, I can’t get over the feeling of being more limber, noticeably stronger and have more endurance. Especially because I felt like I started at ground zero — No muscle, no endurance, no agility. I felt ashamed and embarrassed. What I’ve gained since joining BEEfit is something I wouldn’t trader for anything and I can’t wait to see where I’m at in another three months of commitment.

Q-What has been a physical or mental achievement that BEEfit has helped you achieve? 

A-I’m more confident and I have way more self-respect for myself since committing myself to a weekly, group-training  workout routine at BEEfit. Mentally, I’m so much more stable since actually moving my body and working out. I was pretty sedentary before this and felt terrible.

Q-What is differentiates BEEfit from other gyms and training systems?

A-No idea, since I haven’t really been to other gyms, but BEEfit feels like a premium gym, without the premium price tag. I can’t imagine any other gym doing for me what BEEfit does. Having access to Ryan’s knowledge and expertise is priceless. It’s been the biggest blessing in my life this year.

Q-What would you tell someone who is considering BEEfit?

A-Just try it. There’s nothing to lose. Ryan offers a free group training session to new members. How can you say no to that? If I can do it, so can you. I literally felt like you couldn’t be more insecure that I was prior to joining BEEfit.

Q-Would you and do you recommend BEEfit to others?

A-Absolutely. The intimate atmosphere of BEEfit in priceless. Small group training sessions, with plenty of one-on-one guidance when needed. You don’t get lost in a huge group at BEEfit. You feel seen, you feel like Ryan actually cares about your fitness journey and goals.

Q-Anything else you’d like to say in regards to BEEfit, fitness, nutrition, health?

A-Ryan’s nutrition guidance is awesome. He’s ready to meet you with where you’re at on your journey and wants to see you succeed. BEEfit is such a hidden-gem in Sedro-Woolley. If you’re on the fence about joining, just try it. I can’t imagine anyone not loving it.

Keys to fat loss/weight control

  1. Know your daily needs–IE daily macro/calorie goal based on TDEE/body composition based macro/calorie ranges.
  2. Plan to (and consistently) eat 4-6 meals daily. 
  3. Eat in established feeding windows–12 to 8 hour periods of consumption, 12-16 fasted. 
  4. Eliminate unnecessary calories/eat nutritionally rich foods
  5. Drink a gallon of water per day (If under 170 pounds, aim for ¾ gallon–about 3 liters)
  6. Utilize a high quality, full spectrum, fully absorbable daily multivitamin to insure against nutrient deficiencies that can cause cravings and interfere with recovery. 
  7. Fast at least 1 x week. (helps suppress appetite, improves glycogen and fat utilization.)
  8. Consume predominantly low glycemic carbs.

In addition to the group personal training (which is just $30/class if you want to do more, or a flat rate for the month), we offer personal training and app based programs. Please let us know if you are interested in any of those–we can review them at your complimentary group PT class.

Once you complete your membership application, your access card is available via our app (available on apple and android). BEEfit LLC is the name of the app, it has our logo on it. Your username and password are as you set them online. The app will require you to sign in and use your password. (Your username is the First LETTER of your first NAME, followed by your last name). Password reset/help available if needed.

Dodgeball rules

OVERVIEW

Yep, it’s time once again for everyone’s favorite game from gym class, Dodgeball! If you thought it was fun in the 4th grade, wait until you give it a try as a ‘grown-up.’ And after you’ve thrown a few at some strangers (and dodged a few tosses, yourself), you can go have a drink with them at the league sponsor bar. 

ABOUT

  • Underdog Dodgeball Leagues are all Co-ed
     
  • Rosters up to 10 Players
     
  • 6 players on the court each game (3 gals, 3 guys)
     
  • Two 16-minute matches each night against different teams
     
  • Matches consist of as many games as can be played in the 16 Minutes
     
  • Coated foam “no sting” Rhino Skin dodgeballs!

RULES

How do I someone get out?
1. Hit them with a ball that isn’t blocked

2. Knock a ball out of their hand

3. Catch their ball before it hits the floor or another person

4. Throw a head shot (in this case you get yourself out)

(Can players return after getting out? 
Anytime someone catches a ball from your team a player from your bench can return (remember there is a Max of 6 players on the court)

What is the “first touch concept?”
First touch means that as soon as a ball hits something it’s dead. If it hits a player, they are out and a 2nd player cannot get hit with the same ball. If a ball hits the floor it’s dead and cannot put someone out. Same with the ceiling or after it’s blocked by a held ball.

Can I intentionally hit someone in the face making them cry?
You’ve completely missed the point of playing a kids game. We’re all about having fun and if it’s your goal to hit people with things maybe try Pro-Wrestling.  Unfortunately we don’t offer pro-wrestling so it’s safe to say Underdog is not for you.

FAQ

Does it hurt to get hit?

In general, no. We use coated foam dodgeballs. So, unlike in grade school where you were getting nailed by a big rubber ball being thrown as hard as possible, there’s less sting and less velocity.)

We are designed for the optimal training experience. This is defined by training programs, equipment, space to utilize it, and the support to progress through the fitness process. We grow more than just muscles at BEEfit. But yes, we grow some muscles.

Our hybrid training system requires 3 training rooms.

The Free Weight room with lots of barbells, dumbbells (lots from 3-130 pounds), specialty bars (Trap bar, Safety Squat Bar, Cambered Bar, American/Swiss Bar), Hiit Mills, Rowers, Assault Bikes, Squat racks (8 spots counting our 2 double racks with pegs, safety arms, safety harnesses, and split squat rollers), benches, terra core training stations, GHD, posing area, slam balls, med balls, bands, landmine attachments, pull up stations, ab mats, and mobility tools.

The turf patch in our long and open middle room of a hallway: 2 prowler sleds, 2 harness sleds, and the space to comfortably use 2 at a time–3 with choreography.

The Bodybuilding room. 16 feet of round, urethane coated dumbbells (in addition to the hex dumbbell collection we have by far the largest collection and selection of dumbbells in the county). Cambered and straight bars from 20-110 pounds. 8 selectorized cable stations with a variety of attachments. Every angle of bodybuilding equipment the aspiring or professional bodybuilder could ever want–all tools that are great for all levels at various times in training.

In addition to the bodybuilding areas we have two restrooms, a locker room storage area, ample storage space in both larger rooms (Free weight room and bodybuilding rooms), lots of natural light pouring in through the many windows, comfortably set temperatures, and all the professional support needed to guide you toward your goals and to sustain and reset them.
